Join 250 at 250 and be part of history

As our nation marks its 250th anniversary, we invite you to stand with us in remembering the people’s history.

Walk into Chippewa Valley Museum’s newest exhibit The U.S. at 250: Settlement and Survival and you’ll see something striking. Along the edges of the gallery hang the words of Washington, Lincoln, LaFollette, and Reagan calling Americans to protect democracy. But at the center of the exhibit are everyday objects — a handkerchief, a carpet sweeper, a hand-carved box — reminders that the American story has always been shaped by ordinary people.

People like us. People like you.

A Place on the Wall, A Place in the Story

Your gift ensures:

  • * Chippewa Valley stories remain accessible for generations1800
  • * Local history is told with honesty and integrity
  • * Diverse voices and traveling exhibits reach our community
  • * Every visitor — from schoolchildren to lifelong learners — finds a place for themselves inside Chippewa Valley Museum

A gift of $250 or more places your name on a special donor wall at the museum’s entrance. This wall is more than recognition. It is a reminder that history survives because people choose to protect it.
