Exhibit Photo Sale

Posted: October 8, 2015

The Chippewa Valley Museum will hold an Exhibit Photo Sale on Saturday, November 7th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Chippewa Valley Museum provides visitors with exciting exhibits to make each visit a new opportunity to learn or revisit the history of the Chippewa Valley. However, to incorporate new exhibits the museum must have other exhibits retire. The Exhibit Photo Sale is a great opportunity for visitors to take home a little piece of Chippewa Valley history from their local history museum.

During this event visitors will be able to purchase reproductions of historic photos and images from past exhibits in the museum. Past exhibits include Paths of the People: The Ojibwe in the Chippewa Valley and Settlement and Survival: Building Towns in the Chippewa Valley. These reproduced historic photos are great for adding local historical flair to home or business décor, and they make wonderful local history visual teaching aids for the classroom.

Over 500 photos mounted on quarter-inch fiberboard will be up for sale during this event. The photos vary in sizes from 5x7 inches to 4x6 feet, with prices from $5 to $150.

Admission to the Chippewa Valley Museum and the Exhibit Photo Sale is $7 for adults and $4 for kids ages 5-17; kids under 5 and CVM members are free. All sale proceeds support programs for children and families at the Chippewa Valley Museum.
