Collecting the Valley: Collected Stories from Happy Island and Old Meridean

Explore the origins and legacies of the families who found their place in the Chippewa Valley on “Happy Island.” In her book, Where the Lilacs Grow, Jeanne Anderson has compiled a rich collection of stories and photos depicting late 19th century life in Old Meridean, once located at the center of the Chippewa River as it meanders through Dunn County.
Paid registration and an internet connection are required for participation.

• Full Series Package registration available for $25, or $15 for museum members through Aviation in the Chippewa Valley event.
• Program recordings will be available for Series Package purchasers after each presentation. 
• Virtual attendance via Zoom for individual presentations $10.
