CVM provides advice and assistance to other area museums and cultural organizations through workshops, consultations and collaborative projects, which also reach the public.
A few years ago, a project supported by the Wisconsin Humanities Counci called Traveling Through the Twenties resulted in seven exhibits: at CVM, three area historical societies, a nature center, the regional archive at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and a performing arts center. CVM staff provided development and construction workshops for those co-sponsors that had on-going exhibit programs.
We often give service to other area institutions. The privately owned Newman Collection is on loan to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire but managed by CVM.
