After Dark: Anti-Valentine’s Day “Bash” Feb. 10

Posted: January 2, 2017

When the kids are away, the grown-ups will play! Whether singled or coupled up, adults can take a hiatus from all the Hallmark hearts and spend an Anti-Valentine's Day "Bash" with old and new friends at the Chippewa Valley Museum (1204 E. Half Moon Dr.) in Eau Claire's Carson Park. This event, part of the After Dark series, will take place Friday, February 10, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

This 21+ event encourages couples and singles alike to express their angst as they enjoy live entertainment and activities throughout the museum:

Attendees may choose to dress to depress for a successful night of "hating on" the sickly sweet holiday with the added bonus of commiserating with old and new friends.

Tickets are $25 each or two for $45, and include two drink tickets, food, prizes, plus a pass to return to the museum to fully experience the exhibits later in 2017. BUY TICKETS ONLINE NOW (The Children's Museum, as an After Dark partner, is hosting ticket sales for the Chippewa Valley Museum).

On the heels of a 90's Party thrown by the Children's Museum of Eau Claire, the Anti-Valentine's Day "Bash" is the second in the After Dark event series. The goal of After Dark is to provide "edu-taining" connecting events for young professionals and parents in the Chippewa Valley at local cultural organizations.

A team from Leadership Eau Claire, a program of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce, has been working to develop the series through a collaboration between the Chippewa Valley Museum, the Children's Museum of Eau Claire, the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp Museum, and the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library. The series is a way for young people to discover or re-discover local arts, cultural and educational institutions. Proceeds from ticket sales from all After Dark events in the series will help support and grow the event series to involve other cultural institutions.

After Dark: Love & War is sponsored by Live in Eau Claire, Acoustic Café, Volume One, The Paint Shack, Gordy's, Park Ridge Distributing, Infinity Beverages Winery & Distillery, CCFBank, Toppers Pizza, and Clear Water Comedy. More sponsors to be announced soon!
