Chippewa Valley Museum teams up with UWEC for Archive Project

Posted: May 8, 2020

In response to the quickly changing Covid-19 pandemic, the Chippewa Valley Museum is teaming up with UW Eau Claire’s McIntyre Library and the Public History Program to create the Chippewa Valley Covid-19 Archive. This digital archive will consist of materials documenting everyday life during the public health crisis, including oral history interviews performed by students in the 2020 Public History seminar course at the university.

The public is encouraged to submit photos, documents, and other digital memorabilia related to Covid-19 in the Chippewa Valley. Anyone may do so by going to the Archive website (www.uwec.ly/covid19project) and selecting the “Contribute Your Story or Artifact” from the top menu. Several artifacts are already available for browsing.
