Full Reflection: Dress and Identity

The Chippewa Valley Museum's newest exhibit, the 1,000-square-foot Full Reflection: Dress and Identity, considers dress as a form of communication, and asks, Why do we wear what we wear?

It exhibits clothing of different styles, different decades, and different cultures, from masquerade costumes to maternity wear, from the 1890s to the 1990s.

The exhibit will stay up at the museum for about two years. But, since old clothing and accessories are very fragile, they will be rotated in and out of the exhibit frequently, giving repeat visitors a fresh look at the museum’s collection.
