The CVM Foundation
Preserving your heritage for the future of the Chippewa Valley

Gifts from the community created the Chippewa Valley Museum and its collections. Your gift can insure that the Museum will exist for future generations.

To help insure the future vitality and stability of the Museum, the Chippewa Valley Museum Foundation has created an endowment fund. This fund has been established to receive current or deferred gifts including bequests, trusts, and insurance proceeds. We invite you to join with us in preserving the heritage of the Chippewa Valley by considering a gift to the Foundation’s endowment fund.

The most useful gift is unrestricted. This kind of gift allows the Foundation to address any current need the Museum may have. However, you may also designate a special area of the Museum that you wish to support with your gift:

  • Exhibits: Permanent exhibits are revised every 15 to 20 years, short-term exhibits rotate every few years, and rotating exhibits change every few months. All generate public support and interest in the Museum.
  • Educational Programs: Educational opportunities at the museum serve chidren as well as adults. More than 8,000 children tour the Museum in classroom groups each year. The Museum reaches thousands more through its traveling school kits and its history theater program.
  • Library: The Museum’s libary collections are an irreplaceable resource. the 14,000 historical photographs represent the second largest collection in the State of Wisconsin.

Consulting with your own legal and financial advisors is an important part of making such a gift. Representatives of the Chippewa Valley Museum Foundation will be happy to discuss your plans and offer any additional information you require about the Museum.
